From IC to manager, back to IC

I recently transitioned back from a managerial role to an individual contributor as a Sr. Digital Product Designer at RBC. I realized how much I’ve missed designing and exploring different possibilities when solving user problems.

My experience as a people manager helped me grow tremendously as a designer and as a leader in those years. I got to work with the senior leadership team, got stronger in discovery research and design activities, became more comfortable in handling conflicts and speaking up, and became better at prioritization (my time and my work).

What I bring:

• E2E design: From problem definition to design delivery and hand-off

• Workshop facilitation: I've recently facilitated a workshop with 30+ participants, from squad leads to VPs

• Client research and testing: I've conducted and launched over 50+ research studies in my career
